"Delays in the publication of the current issue are not due to technical foul-ups -- they're due to me not getting the kind of stories I'm looking for! I'd rather be late with the issue than go to press with something I'm not 100% proud of.

"I'm getting a lot of pastiches and traditional S&S. I'm not looking for that. The guidelines say so. Want to get published? Read the guidelines!"
